I would like to compliment the DHA head office officials for their attitude and support with regard to my application for Permanent Residence. I applied in October 2011 and after 8 months I was expecting to receive some feedback. Around August 2012, I got a call Home Affairs head office requesting some extra document for my spouse which I did immediately via email. I kept calling the call centre after wards just to check if it is ready but they kept on saying my query has been sent to Head Office and I should call after 2 weeks.
In January 2013, I decided to follow-up with the person who requested extra documents for my spouse in August 2011 and his support was so wonderful during my follow-ups and later the Senior Administration Officer as well as person handling my files were so professional. I was later called this month to submit any particulars of my children which were not in the application. As I write have just, I have recently received my PR as well as for my spouse, and my 2 daughters. I think with this type of commitment and professionalism the DHA is heading to greener pastures especially if these can happen in all divisions of the Department of Home Affairs. Thanks
