I recharged my Gautrain Gold Card @ Park with my debit card on Mon 18/3/2013 @10h04. On Tuesday, I saw on my bank statement that Gautrain deducted the recharge amount twice from my account, but my card was definitely not recharged with this double amount. I went to the Sandton station and asked how this can be fixed. The cashierhad me fill out a reimbursement application, together with copies of my ID and the receipt. She took my Gold Card too, it has 2 wks worth of travelling loaded. Asking how I was supposed to get home, she told me I had to buy a new card. It will take 14 working days for Gautrain to return the double charge and the current purse to my account. Upon arrival at Hatfield, I couldn't get out of the parking. Security told me to get a paper parking ticket at the cashier. Had to re-park my car, walk back into the station. Cashier was extremely rude telling me to pay for this paper ticket. Back to the car to get money, back to cashier to get ticket. Nowhere does Gautrain explain how one goes about reclaiming your money, or taking back you card, or not getting out of the car park. This whole organisation is run by stupid, incompetent.
