I applied for UIF maternity leave on the 7th December last year and i was told to wait for 6to8 weeks and the money will be deposited on my account. I phoned on the 7th february checking on the application they kept transferring from one person to another with no response&eventually I was cut off, I tried calling again finally a guy named Sivuyise picked up&told me nothing shows on the system he will call me back @3pm &he took my contact details, I waited for his call and he never called me back. I decided to call him myself and again the phone rang with no answer. I then took time again the following day and phoned the department, there was no answer. I called back again today on the 11 Feb, after a long wait on the phone some lady finally picked up&told me there's nothing on the system the application has not yet been approved I must keep checking every after 2weeks&when I asked her 4how long must I wait she told me she doesn't know. I'm frustrated as I'm on leave with no income for my baby and I don't know what to do now please sort this out!
