To date i have had no response to my query: I sent an email to the Brakpan office advising that I have paid this fine via cheque. The money was deducted from my cheque account.
The cheque written out in favor in of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality dated 2008-06-06. My cheque was posted to the Municipality and subsequently the cheque was cashed on the 25th of June 2008. An amount of R500 went off my account however it was never allocated to my reference number. I had written my fine number however someone in the Municipality (I would assume) altered my reference and wrote this reference number instead. My reference number 5785699161171616 was written on the cheque however it was altered to 57-88699-161-18161. I kept asking for this matter to be investigated by their traffic department as I ensured that my fine was paid however it was used to pay someone else's fine. To date no one has respond to my e-mails neither was my money refunded.
I just want this matter resolved as its being dragging on for a long time
