I received a traffic fine from Victoria West Municipality, which claimed that my car was speeding on the N1 near Three Sisters. The license plate quoted in the fine is that of the PREVIOUS OWNER of my car, but the fine was issued after I had already owned the car (under a new registration number) for more than 2 years. Furthermore I can prove that my car was nowhere near this place on the date of the alleged offence.
How is it possible that a fine is issued to me but with the license plate of the previous owner? Since this happened LONG after I purchased the car, the fine must be absolute bogus. Comment from Ubuntu municipality is requested in this matter.
