Joburg Connect unable to connect the dots

We live in Inadan AH, which is behind Kya Sands in Fourways. Whenever there is rain or thunder or both, out goes out electricity. after two years of phoning and complaining, Joburg Connect have yet to connect the dots. Obviously, something gets wet, or are exposed to the elements and therefore easily hit by lightning. Other suburbs are not affected as badly. Sometimes only our street is affected, other times the area is slightly larger, but it never fails. And we have reported this to death. That is, if we get through to an agent because the hold period is never less than 10 minutes! Then, when the agents place you on hold to check on your query, you are on hold again for yet another 10 minutes as 'that is how the system works'. Joburg Connect's service levels are shockingly bad, our power went at 4 yesterday afternoon and I was told last night when I called, after first being cut off and placed on hold forever, that power would be restored last night. This morning it was still off, when at last I spoke to Cindy, she told me it would be restored between 5 and 6. The landlord called and was told the reason for the power outage was vandalism, while I was told two different stories.
