Raw sewage has been running through my property since mid-morning of Monday, 30th December. The matter was reported to joburgconnect and I was given a reference number 8001649792. I called again at 17h00 and was told the matter was given priority attention.By 22h30 nothing had happened and I called the joburg connect number (011 375 5555) again. I have now held on for over 90 minutes. In the middle of the night the message of: "high call volumes" is repeated again and again. In the meantime the heavy flow of water and seage is causing serious damage to my property. The other number listed as a 24 hour helpline on joburg water (011 688 1400) is also not being answered.
Please help as a matter of urgency.
