Our electricity was switched off at 15:00 on Friday (22-11-2013) as a result of the homeowner who didn't pay the property taxes. At 15:30 on Friday (22-11-2013) we paid 60% of the outstanding account to have the electricity switched back on. Sunday when we again contacted them, they just told us that no one works on the weekend and we will have to wait until Monday (25-11-2013). When we contacted them again today (25-11-2013) when they told us that the 48 hours is not over YET so we'll just have to wait, they will probably only switch it back on, on Tuesday (26-11-2013). All our fridges completely defrosted and all our meat has gone off because of the power that is off. Who will compensate us for it? All that we are getting back from City of Tshwane is a bad attitude. I think that's why no one has any confidence in any municipality. Please can anyone give me any answers? Thank you.
