On Friday 5 Jun the City of Tshwane illegally cut my power to my residence in Garsfontein. I received no warning that this will happen. Friday night I went to there offices in Centurion and the lady confirm that it was wrongfully cut as my account is fully paid and I am R500 ahead on my payments. They had no reason to cut my power at all. When asked when they will turn on my power again the lady said we have to wait 48 hours and as it is on a Friday we will have to wait until Tuesday the 9th of Jun because the contractors stop working at 18h00 on Friday and normally starts on Monday morning again. This is unacceptable and I demand and written explanation from the town council as well as a formal apology to there illegal behaviour. They will also have to reimbursed me for the losses i suffered with regards my fridges that could not keep the food cold and frozen. It was a traumatic experience for me and my family as this is the first time in my life that my power was cut on these grounds. This is unacceptable, if they can cut the power so quickly why not put it back on the same day? i need explanations otherwise I will take it to the next level.
