On Thursday nite, 21/10/2013, at about 7, when my boyfriend was coming home from site on the N12. He was in the fast lane & the metro was as well. Metro did not want to move over to the left to allow my bf to come past so he moved to the left lane & passed the metro vehicle. He was then pulled over by the two officers. The one officer got out & came up to my boyfriend. His drivers licence was asked, which is standard procedure but then the traffic officer got witty by accusing him of speeding & then by saying "oh you want to fight me". My boyfriend kept his ground by saying no. He's just not going to admit to speeding when he wasnt. The officer then said my bf should follow him to the benoni police station as he's going to be arrested, to which my bf told him he can go blow bubbles. The officer then turned around & said "then I'm taking your ID". He climbed in his vehice & they spat off. But before they could my bf took down his nr plate. Vehicle reg nr is ZLD231GP. The matter will be taken further against this traffic officer as he illegally drove off with a drivers licence & not writing out a traffic fine if my bf was indeed speeding. What a disgrace!!!
