Aarto
Traffic Fines

I got tickets in 2011, two R500, one for a number plate and the other for a cranked windscreen. apparently the ID number on my ticket was written incorrectly and I didn't realize it, and I was not going to get the ticket. I told the officer that the car was from repairs (body spraying and engine fix) hence I didn't have the rear number plates because of lost bolts in the workshop, and the car was on the way to Sosha for further repairs on the windscreen. he then said he is going to give me a ticket because they have stress and targets they have to reach. that's when I got my tickets. I then raised the matter with Aarto, sometime in Jan 2012. I filled in a complaint form, but what they did was to link the ref number on my form to the ticket ref since they had incorrectly written my ID number in the first place and posted them. they never responded to my query. even now I have not heard from them. my question to them is, how come to we have to suffer for the target that they give the officers? even logic doesn't prevail when you speak to them, because the officer could see the car was still wet from painting. I demand those tickets cancelled because they weren't in good faith.
