I erroneously transferred my domestic employee's salary into the UIF's account via the internet in May 2012. Despite sending all requested documentation four times to one Ms Sibongile Mthembu since May 2012, I have to date received no feedback regarding reimbursement of the funds. Ms Mthembu undertook in May 2012 to reconcile my account and provide me with a statement of account reflecting the amount due to me. I was informed by Ms Mthembu that the reason for the delay, amongst others, was that the documentation was misplaced/she was on leave/her supervisor was not available etc etc etc. It is noteworthy that over a year has elapsed and I have to date not received any reason as to why the UIF is unable to/has neglected to provide me with a statement. Ms Mthembu's failure to deal with my query is a poor reflection of the UIF and a clear reflection of incompetency.
