I made the mistake of signing up for a 24 month laptop/3G card contract with Altech Autopage in June 2012. My account was meant to be debited on the 2nd of every month. I changed my banking details in December 2012, and notified their Call Centre accordingly. I have spent this year going back and forth between the Call Centre every 3 months having to enquire why I receive notifications that my account is in arrears, why I have not been debited on the 2nd as agreed upon and why my internet has been blocked. This process is time-consuming, costly on my part to make these calls and a clear error on Autopage's part. I emailed Nelisiwe Mthembu [Email Removed] and Siphelele Mhlongo on 18 July 2013 to enquire why my account wasn't debited for June and July and received NO response. My internet has been blocked (which I use for work daily) despite my settling my account on 31 July, and I am told that this was due to Autopage's credit department not 'informing' the connections department that I have paid. What kind of circus is this really??? It has been 2 weeks and I have spent my days getting zero help/feedback from their Call Centre. Word to the wise: STEER CLEAR OF AUTOPAGE
