In July 2011, I was granted credit at Lewis Stores where my husband and I wanted to purchase a television. Upon approval and finalising the deal they asked me to issue my TV licence whereupon I responded that I did not have one and thought it no big deal, I will go and get one. After approximately 2 mins the lady said I do have one and unfortunately she cannot carry on with the deal as I am R4320 in arrears with my TV licence!!!
I was fuming! I immediately went to the police station, wrote and signed an affidavit that I have never in my entire life had a tv licence for the simple reason that Ive lived with my mom my whole life, the biggest reason being I am an epileptic, I cant live on my own, so Ive never needed to get one because Ive never needed to buy a TV, my mom has one and I help her to pay hers every year, is that some crime? She only has the one TV aswell, they can come look!
Now, since the SABC is ignoring me and all my attempts to rectify their mistake of identity, I am blacklisted, have a judgement against my name, handed over to VVM attorneys who won't stop harrassing me with phone calls and emails. I have done everything Im a nervous wreck!!! Plse help?
