Since July of this year I've been receiving SMS's telling me I owe the SABC for an outstanding TV licence I took out in 2010 in Cape Town. Meanwhile I was living in a different province at the time in question. I have made several calls to the debt collecting agencies and have sent various affidavits in this regard. I do not have nor have I ever taken out an SABC tv licence. My wife has one which we pay and use for the purchase of TV's. they don't seem to listen or record the affidavits. All they do is phone me and threaten me about being blacklisted everytime. I need to find somebody who can help me deal with this as its becoming frustrating and the harassment im getting from the SABC agents, is completely unacceptable bordering on criminal. Do they not check their system to see that I have advised them so many times that I never took out a licence nor do I need one. How can you have 2 SABC licences in one home? Seriously the next mail im sending is to my lawyer as some somewhere isn't doing his job and im paying the price.
