I had purchased a samsung S3 of which I had it confused with a galaxy note. When I went back to the store to have it changed for the one that I actually wanted I was told that I did not know what top of the range was and was ask how I became a teacher.
Soon asfter that he makes a call and tells me that no one can help me because the box had been opened and said no body would purchase the phone. To my surprised he asked me to leave the phone and that he would sell it for me. That did not make sense to me because of what he had said previously.
The Store Manager turned to me and said to me as well.
I then called the MTN call centre and 3 consultants confirmed that I could have the phone changed given if I have reported it with in 7 days and was advised to go to the head office for help since I was frustrated with the service that I had recived at the store.
When I got to head office I was told that I couldn't have the phone exchanged and was told to go back home with it. When I asked why that was so I was told that since I had the phone in my hands on the day of purchase. That the customer protection act falls away.
Kind regards
