Shocking Service

After being given a faulty handset, Vodacom head office agreed to give me a loan phone until my phone was repaired. Head office instructed me to hand the loan phone back to Vodacom Tygervalley once my phone was repaired. The loan phone was handed back to the branch. After a few days Vodacom head office started calling to find out what had happened to the handset. After numerous calls, the store had no knowledge of the loan phone. Head office expected me to find the phone I handed in at the store. My wife tried to help and called A.J., the repairs manager who told her that the phone was never handed in. She told him she thinks someone the phone and that he should look into it. He responded by saying that he "will not be spoken to in such a way" and put the phone down in her ear. I walked into the store myself 20 minutes later. A.J. smirked at me and said that they located the phone. It was removed by a "stand in manager" Riaan van Wyk and taken to a Cape Town branch. He didn't think to let me know. I asked A.J., the manager, to send me a written apology for telling head office that I never handed in the phone and making me out as a /. He never apologised.
