We bought a queen adjustable bed for R50000 because my husband has a terminal condition and has problems sleeping at night. We dipped into our limited savings to acquire the bed. The contract specified a 7 day cancellation policy with no cancellation fees stipulated. We received the bed on a Friday and clearly after one night decided the bed was a waste of money and did not live up to the sales hype. We cancelled on Sunday (approximately 6 days after the contract was signed and paid for in full). They came to collect the bed 4 days after cancellation and now the manager says that they will not give us a full refund but wants to hold back R5000 for collection and assembly fees". This is highway especially since the contract did not specify any cancellation fees and the bed has only been slept on for less than 8 hours. Please help!
