I cancelled my MTN contract in January 2013. I completed paper work in a MTN branch in Boksburg. I recently noticed that contract fees were still being debited from my bank account. Luckily i kept copies of the cancellation documents. I went to a MTN shop and they helped me to log a call (i could not do this myself since i cant remember my pin any more). This call was logged on 30 Sept. I followed this up by emailing the full story and attached the cancellation documents.
MTN has still not cancelled the contract, instead they migrated the contract to a pre-paid option. The only feedback i received so far is an email telling me about this migration! Why would they migrate it to pre-paid if this is not what i requested.
I also called the call centre and spoke to the most annoying consultant, who basically refused to help me because i do not know what postal address MTN has on their system.
MTN is basically ignoring me. I simply want the contract cancelled and reimbursed contract fees charged since January.
DO NOT call me on this MTN number, because i am not using it.
