I had a son who was studying with Intec College from end of 2011 to end of 2012 (Student No. 10011379903)
We paid -R20 000.00. Which is way more than the study material that we were supplied with, which is a total of -R7 000.00
- My son went back to his home country in December 2012 and I cancelled his studentship by email
- They replied saying the reason for cancellation does not warrant a cancellation and told me to refer to their cancellation procedure. Which is as one cannot be forced to keep studying when they want out.
- They started phoning requesting payment of fees as I had stopped the debit order
- I phoned their 'Cancellation' Department (spoke to Tanya, Nazim and Lameez) complaining about their email responses and they told me they were finally going to review my request.
- Then they sent me a letter (signed by Lameez) that the cancellation can only be finalized after I pay R8 000.00 cancellation fees; which I do not understand what it is for as I am expecting a REFUND comparing the amount that we paid. (NB: Strange that cancellation is more expensive than registration which is R4 400.00).
I want a refund not what they say that i must pay more.
