Tracking my parcel, I discover that "no-one was home" - the delivery address was my place of work, a hotel with 24 hour reception. The parcel now sits in the Cape Town warehouse about 5 km from my office.
After 7 phone calls on Friday (17th) totalling about an hour of being passed from operations to the branch manager (he was not in), the warehouse, 3-4 customer service / receptionists I could still not be helped.
I then got quite firm with a lady on the phone, pleading for her to take a personal preference to my case and go perhaps beyond the call of her duty to assist me.
I then spoke to 2 pleasant ladies who offered to assist me. The last call I got explained that they could not make it that day, but it would be delivered on Monday. I accepted this gracefully but today, still no parcel.
After hours helpline - both numbers get no answer. The Cape Town branch after hours cell goes straight to voicemail.
