Faulty Cloud nine Flat iron

Hey I bought a cloudnine Flat iron from Partners hair salon Somerset Mall on the 24th Dec 2013 Went home &amp put it away because we left for holiday that same evening We got back home the 28th Dec2013 which was the 1st time that I opened the box of this flat iron I read through the manual and registered the flat iron Then I switched on the iron and a green light comes on but the iron makes a continuesly beeping sound and it does not get hot I switched it off and then back on again but the same thing happend Very dissapointed I put it back in the bag & then the box I took it back to the hair salon on Monday the 30th Dec2013 and explained to the receptionist that the iron does not work She took it plugged it in and the iron still makes that beeping sound & is cold as ice She then said must take it back with me and bring it the following day when her manager is at work Which I did The manager then said the iron must go in for repairs Which may take up to 6weeks seeing that the suppliers is closed for the holidays Now my thing is this how can something go in for repairs which I never even used and I only had it for 5days. I paid cash for this iron & it was a christmas gift
