Unable to get assistance

I ordered a parcel from the USA. It was send of on the 1st and arrived in SA on the 8th. I phoned SAPO and obtained a local tracking number. According to the tracking website the parcel completed customs on the 13th and now only shows "transit". I phoned SAPO on 0860 111 502. They said it is unusual for the package to take this long. I obtained through numerous attempts many phone numbers to call. Not one of these numbers are being answered even after phoning everyday for the last week. I have dialed 011 961 6000 / 6001 / 6028 / 6038 / 6039 and many more, only to be answered by a voice saying that they are experiencing high call volumes.

This process I was told by supplier would take 6-10 days door to door. It has been 20 days now and since the 8th been in SA.
How do I reach anyone that can assist me and tell me what is going on with my delayed parcel??
