I just want to raise a concern that one of my international incoming parcels has possibly been lost or as it is taking unusually long to arrive in the country.
It was posted via registered international post with tracking and left the USA on 13 August but there is still no evidence of it having arrived in the country to this date even after I have phoned the call centre to get the converted SA tracking number. They confirm that is not on their systems since the 13th August either and suggest I just keep on waiting.
This is highly unusual as I've never had such painfully slow international tracked post - except for during the strike earlier in the year. Usually the longest has been that within 8 working days it reaches the local post office outlet I use, but this is different. - and worrying.
My fear is thus it is and this is extremely disappointing. I recently gave up on using unregistered post as was so endemic but had hoped registered was different.
