I took up a policy with Legal Exec after being cold called by one of their consultants. I liked the idea of having legal aid and it was affordable. The premium was R69 with a R100 admin fee for the first month. I was debited R169x3 month end November 2012 which amounted to R507. I was very upset and when I called I was told that an investigation will take place which takes 2- 3 working days. No one got back to me, I kept on calling and I was told that a manager is going to call me. No one has called me come 12 March 2013. I then cancelled the policy in November 2012 and requested for a full refund. I am still waiting come 12 March 2013. To make matters worse, I got debited yet again in February 2013 after cancelling the policy. I called yet again wanting to know why my account was debited after I cancelled the policy, they told me to send the bank statements for November 2012 and February 2013, I did and no one has gotten back to me. Legal Exec now owes me R576. My question is how are they going to handle huge cases in court while they can't fix my problem and pay me my money back???
