On the 2nd of September 2013 I received an sms that I have an outstanding personal loan on my business name (sounds fishy) and I have been handed over.
I phoned NBA as per the sms.
They pull up my account, I'm owing 121k. I explain that I have never taken a personal loan from any bank. As per NBA the loan was taken in June 2007.
I HAVE NEVER TAKEN A PERSONAL LOAN
Some weeks pass and more sms's come through. I call again and they send me an e-mail.
I went to the bank with the e-mailed letter. The consultant checks all accounts connected to my ID no. No personal loan
She checks all the accounts connected to my business registration no. No personal loan.
She checks the account no on the letter. It is an active account for someone else.
A request is sent to head office for the original contract.
There reply: there is no contract on file.
I forward this correspondence to NBA. They reply that there is a judgement against my name.
Now I'm getting frantic. So I call the NCR to check my credit rating. No personal loan registered to my name. No judgements.
