Shapiro Shaik Defries & Associates
Illegal trace alert - prescribed debt

I'm beyond disgusted with this company and I'm in the process of lodging a complaint with the law Society.

I had a Iburst account which was last paid in 2005! the account is over 3 years old and according to the South African Prescription Act 68 of 1969, the debt is prescribed after 3 years but yet this company still sends letters of demand adding the cost of these letters and sms to the bill, threatening me with court action, black listing and a whole bunch of unethical guerrilla tactics to get me to pay, which i will not.

I have statements reflecting the last payment date in 2005 and pointed out that the debt has prescribed but they still insist on sending letters of demand.
I challenge you to provide me with a summons so that I can raise my defence of prescription before a magistrate -failing to do so you should close my file
