Liberty Medical Scheme
DEDUCTING PREMIUMS AFTER MEMBERSHIP CANCELLED

I cancelled membership wef 30 June 2012. Liberty continue to deduct premium 7 months after. I have had 4 e-mails from them confirming my resignation at 30/6/12. 2 e-mails from Celastine Chippendale 7/12/12 apologising for their "poor service" & saying they will refund ASAP. 2 phone calls with Garth Kaeresies apologising & saying they will refund by 11 Jan 2013. 14, 15, 16 Jan i have left 3 messages for Garth & 2 messages for supervisor Grant Van Schalkwyk to get back to me to resolve this issue. I'm talking about R10000 that Liberty have taken illegally of mine & don't seem capable of paying it back to me. Phoning the call centre is a waste of time as you don't get to speak to anyone with any authority who can make a decision and there is no number to phone to speak to the MD. I have been a client of Liberty for many years and still have policies with them and this is the service one gets from a large organisation like this. It is dispicable and an insult to the industry. Their buy-line is "we care for you" - REALLY??? I am going to try contact Andrew Edwards - exec principal officer but i don't hold out much hope. What is next - the Ombudsman?
