I cancelled my membership on Thursday the 1 November 2012 with a signed letter and emailed it to liberty life who only received it apparently on Monday 5th November 2012. They said they require a 30 day notice period which was given. I have had liberty life medical aid for a few months and paid over R1000 a month and it was never used. I went to the dentist for an annual checkup and had to pay cash cause i was "apparently" not covered. I also joined a new company so i was forced to join discovery which i also hate for other reasons. Liberty only cancelled my policy at the end of December 2012 and are now sending me numerous sms's and emails saying i owe them a months billing. I referred them to my attorney but they still don't seem to get the picture. I thought Liberty life could be discovery's competition but clearly i was mistaken!!!
