Ring cracked apart

I bought the ring from American Swiss; it was a second wedding ring. American Swiss failed to trace the ring because my receipt was faded. What is funny is that when the ring was initially purchased, it was sent to the same repair shop to be sized to a G size, yet they could not find it in their records. As a result, I was left to spend my 20th anniversary without a ring. I am not prepared to buy another one from American Swiss because, for the first ring purchase, I had to pay when the ring cracked and then cracked further after the repair. Now, for the second one, I was made to feel as if I were crazy, stating I bought it at American Swiss as if I were lying. Don't American Swiss jewelry pieces have serial numbers on their jewelry? It's disappointing.
