I got an sms informing me that my membership (membership number 418710212), has been suspended due to non-payment. My membership was activated on the 3rd of January 2013 so naturally I would assume the first debit would have to be the month-end of January (can you kindly clarify that for me).
I called the call centre and the agent told me that I would have to wait for you guys to do a double debit order for the suspension to be lifted, meaning that at the end of January I would have to pay in excess of 5 grand for a service that I haven't even used, can you also explain that to me and justify why I should pay that amount instead of my normal premium as agreed in the contract, or rather why instead of paying five grand I should not go shopping for a different medical aid. I have been a discovery client for the past 3 years having joined on the 1st of April 2011 (membership number then:- 364479280, and on that occasion my premium was deducted on the 25th of April 2011, what has changed now???).
