I logged a call on 2 April 2013 requesting my 2010 Medical Tax Certificate. I got a responsefrom Achmad Sydney saying that I was not on Discovery records as a Main Member and can't be assisted as a result. I called Discovery and I was told to contact Metropolitan as they were the previous Administrators of TFG Med aid. Metropolitan turned me down saying all the records have been handed over to Discovery as the new Administrators. I then forwarded my Membership Certificate to Discovery confirming that I was the main member.
I called back today and was put on hold for 18 minutes by Litha who then passed me on to Sylvester who went back to square 1 saying I was not the main member. After 20 minutes on hold I still had to reiterate my story to Sylvester who said he can't confirm when I will be able to receive my Tax Certificate as they are having difficulties retrieving them. He wouldn't even give an indication of how long I can expect to wait for and he was quiet arrogant at the end. I just had to terminate the call on the 21st minutes of unfruitful and more frustration from Discovery. Each month of waiting is costing me R250, 00 PENALTY FROM SARS!!!
