No respect for medical condition and member status

Dear Hellopeter,

My gym benefits have been cancelled due to poor attendance. As this is directly related to a medical condition going back years, I provided Discovery with a medical certificate. I was then asked to ''clarify'' the information so I went back to my GP once more to ask for a more detailed (2 pages in the end) certificate. I advised them that I could provide a letter from another practionner if needed. After review, Discovery called to advise that my benefits would remain cancelled.

I have been on Discovery since 2005 and I have been quite diligent with Vitality (I'm a Diamond member). They sent me a warning towards the end of last year and I tried to at least go swipe my gym a few times to bring my attendance up but my condition was too much, especially during that period, and I can tell you my attendance was very far from my mind as I wrestled with my problems.

I'm very disappointed by what I see as a total disregard for people in my situation. As it often happens, when it comes to certain medical conditons, people are discriminated against and Discovery just kicked me when I needed a gesture from them. My GP thinks it's.
