On Sunday I went to Union Hospital casualties with a terrible backpain, infact I could bearly walk. After the doctor helped me, he then referred me to a Neurosurgion to check out my back as he thinks it is a slipped disc. I made the appointment for today as this is the only time that he could see me. After a quick checkup he sent me for xrays and an MRI scan. Xrays are done but then I was informed that the MRI scan would not be covered as the hospital doctor referred me and not my GP. Is it really such an issue that I have to go back to my GP because the doctor that helped me is NOT my GP and probably not on the necesse network. That means that the medicalaid will pay more when we could have skipped the GP. Why?? A doctor of the hospital examend me, isn't that enough. Now my GP is on holiday and I have 8hours to set things strait or none would be paid. What must I do now? You know what, I think it's time for a new medicalaid that will help me without problems.
