Pharmacy Direct
Pharmacy Direct Delays Insulin Delivery

Pharmacy Direct delivers medicine according to the date you indicated on your application form.

I am a Diabetic Type 1 and reliant on Insulin. I indicated on my application form that I need my insulin before or on the 28th of each month. It is the 2nd of April and I have not received my insulin as yet. On the 28th of March, Pharmacy Direct admitted that it is a delay on their side and will deliver my insulin on Friday, 29 March 2013 - even though it was a public holiday.

I sat waiting for my insulin on Friday like a fool and no one showed up. I've sent countless e-mails to their management and have not received ANY response.

I'm experiencing heart palpitations and dehydration because I do not have my insulin. If a Diabetic Type 1 goes without insulin, it increases the risks for complications such as gangrene, going blind, kidney failure, etc.

I do not know what to do anymore. Bonitas Medical Aid recommends that Pharmacy Direct is the preferred provider and this is the kind of service Pharmacy Direct provides to the public. This is not good for Bonitas Medical Aid's image.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE MAKE USE OF PHARMACY DIRECT'S SERVICE.
