I joined discovery health on the 1st of February 2013 and after much deliberation and going back and forward with the call centers and sending documents that were needed, I am still aimlessly trying to locate my Medical Aid Card. I have called the call center on several occassions trying to find out where my card is but nobody can help me. I have received the Medical Certificate from Discovery however the doctors and especially the pharmacy and optometrists will not accept this proof of Medical Aid. I called the call center again last week and was told that because of the postal strike i have not received my card however it would be couriered to my work place and I would receive it last Wednesday. I have not seen the card yet. I called on Thursday and was told that i should come into the walk in center and get my card imagine the inconvenience. I still have no medical aid card and the premiums are going off regardlessly. I don't think this is fair and I demand my 2 - 3 months premiums back as I have had no medical aid for those months. I am seriously thinking of cancelling my medical aid with Discovery as this is a reputable company but not reliable at all. Totally annoyed.
