I was with discovery and have left them due to the shlep of fighting with them on not paying claims. I have previously lodged a complaint against this and it still was not solved properly after a year! my daughter has passed away for a year now but there are still outstanding bills discovery did not pay from 2011! it was all in hospital procedures at a network provider so there shouldn't be any shortfalls. I was contacted by the doctors practice to be advised of just over R500 OUTSTANDING.I want this sorted out properly this time and I want nothing else to do with this dreaded medical aid.its like they don't train their staff properly, I have been embarrassed numerous times due to them claiming they wont pay to the provider but when I call and confirm with another agent the information was actually incorrect! I worked for pruhealth but I know the SA medical aid more than most of your consultants!
