On the Discovery Health website you log in and request to "FIND A HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL" - a list is given to you where you choose your Provider & Location under YOUR HEALTH PLAN.
DISCOVERY SITE STATES: "Our Medical and Provider Search Advisor (MaPS) helps you find a healthcare professional who we have an agreement with. These healthcare professionals have agreed to only charge you the Discovery Health Rate for consultations and procedures, and we pay them directly and in full for these services, subject to your available benefits."
THIS IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER AS 4 OF THE DOCTORS I CALLED UNDER THE DROP DOWN MENU THAT WAS GIVEN TO ME CHARGE 200% OVER THE MEDICAL RATES.
How is this a service from Discovery??? Giving you a list of doctors names that OBVIOUSLY have no "AGREEMENT" with Discovery to charge the medical rates. I phone Discovery and the consultants DONT EVEN HAVE A LIST OF DOCTORS WHO CHARGE MEDICAL RATES.
This is RIDICULOUS. All i want is to have a list of the doctors i can go to that charge medical aid rates as PROMISED by Discovery in the above declaration on their website as there is NO service from Discovery- you pay HUGE amounts and still do it yourself!!
