Refusal for a discount on kulula flight

I am a member of Bankmed and in order to stay on Vitality in 2013, I opted to take out a Discovery Life Policy. I signed the policy up with my broker on the 24 Jan who assured me that re. my Vitality Points and Status, I will still keep all these benefits, there will be no change to it. On the 1st Feb, when trying to book a Kulula flight, when I entered in my Vitality number, it said it was no longer valid. I called the call centre but nobody was available as it was after 6pm, they told me to call back on Mon morning or book my ticket and we can claim back. On Mon I spoke to Carl, reference: 2721814361:He said there was a delay in the process, hence I couldn't enjoy the benefit. I then spoke to Audrey (in Life), reference: 2721844683. She said that the policy was activated today, effective date 1 Feb 2013. However, there was no break in my membership and therefore my benefit should still be applicable. My broker spoke to Hanlie (acc manager) who echoed Carl. My view: UNACCEPTABLE - u expect me to pay full premium for Vitality, yet I can't get full benefits. This is a breach of contract and CPA reg - my benefits should not fall away due to a delay where I'm not responsible.
