I have spoken to the Vitality call centre about this issue, have a reference number (3027621729), and have emailed the Vitality COO about this, and after nearly 2 weeks, I have still not received a response.
In August, we sent notice to move our Vitality from our Discovery med aid to our Discovery life insurance, as I was moving medical aids. We spoke to 3 peopleon different occasions, and received emails to say that this would happen on 01/09/13, and that it would not affect my gym premium discount. On (03/10), the FULL gym premium was deducted from my bank account.
On investigation, it appears that our Vitality was never moved, but cancelled, depsite there being a move request on our profile.
Not only have I now lost my gym money (what should be 5 months premium!), but also 6 weeks of Healthyfood and Medsaver benefits.
I request for three things to please happen as soon as possible:
1. For the Vitality to be activated on our Life policy (before my next gym premium is due!).
2. For Discovery/ Vitality to refund me the difference of the gym premium (R549 - R109 = R440)
3. For Vitality to notify Virgn Active that my Vitality status has been reinstated.
