I'm signed up on the older gym contract with the requirement that I visit the gym 24 times in a 12 month period or the contract expires. If the contract expires and I want to renew it I will have to pay an additional monthly fee to the gym excluding the vitality costs.
Yesterday I received an email stating the minimum visits have been increased to 36 with the reason "We want to help you become healthier". This has obviously been put in place to try force people to breach their contracts and have to sign up for a newer more expensive contract.
I personally do a lot of traveling for work which can make it difficult to reach more then 24 visits sometimes. Thats besides the point anyway, where does it stop? do they plan on increasing it every few years till everyone no one is left on the contracts?
I've got contracts with discovery for health, life & credit cards, so when these blatant dirty tactics occur it makes me wonder what else they have planned for future contracts!!!
