We are on the Spectra Azure plan, the second best you have. My son has to go for a laporoscopy on 11 April. I pay a premium of R4100 a month. Now I had to hear that Spectramed is only going to pay R1500 of the R7000 doctor's bill. Also we have to pay R2000 of the hospital bill eventhough the Life hospital group is part of Spectramed. My son was born last year at the Life West coast hospital and we did not pay a cent, also when my oldest son was admitted to a medi clinic we didn't pay anything. Why now? I am very dissapointed. Why with medical aid am I still responsible for 80% of the bill?
