Last year 2012 we changed our Medical Aid Option to a cheaper plan. Not sure who messed up, but I am sure it was'nt my husband's work as Resolution Health notifies employers of any change of contribution. Anyway the incorrect deduction was taken off his salary. An amount of R2147.00 was overpaid to Resolution Health. I wrote to them on the 18th of January and subsequently phoned them everday week (sometimes twice a week) to find out when the overpayment will be refunded to us. I just get the following answer: 1. We will get back to you. 2. We can't find your letter (although the one time they confirmed that the letter was received) 3. We will correspond via e-mail. etc etc. The reason that the money needs to be paid back to us is his company only contributes an amount of R1014.00 towards his medical aid and our total contribution is R3040.00. The monies which was paid over to Resolution was R5187.00.
I wonder what Resolution Health would have done if I owed them R2147.00. I am sure they would have suspended by membership by now.
