Every year Discovery increases subscriptions. Every month I have to 'fight' to get approved, authorised essential chronic medication supplied. I have had the same script repeated for a few years and when I try to get all the items prescribed by my doctor there is a co-payment. Last month it was approximately R52 and this month Discovery wants me to pay approximately R396 for insulin which is on their formulary. I have never received any advice written or verbal that this item has now been removed from my allocation of chronic medication. I had a previous session where I was without insulin for about 8 months. I am a very brittle diabetic and without this life saving medication I could easily experience some very serious and life threatening effects. Please help as I am getting the run around from Discovery staff. Thank you
