I terminated my membership with Discover during 2012 as I started up my own business and my wife included me on her membership.
Subsequent to leaving Discovery, they sent me a bill of R2, 559 without any meaningful detail. After numerous calls they still could not explain fully the detail behind this amount. I then asked them to look into it and get back to me.
Late December 2012 I received a threat by Discovery to list me with Transunion - even though I was wstill waiting for them to get back to me on my query.
During the first week of January I nearly spent a full day on the phone trying to resolve the query with Danielle Roach. Then finally I got the detail I required from Shireen. Finally I was in a position to understand this significant amount and paid the outstanding amount. I made Shireen confirm to me that she will liaise with her colleagues in the Member Debt Administration Department so that they are aware that I paid over the amount and the matter was closed.
To my utter surprise, I received a letter late in January informing me that Discovery have blacklisted my name with Transunion even though there was no outstanding amount.
Discovery - you are incompetent!
