I submitted a claim through Discovery Health and received a notification on the 11/12/2013 that I would be reimbursed R3710.32. I later received a notification from my bank that the amount of R2206.06 was paid by Discovery Health. I phoned Discovery Health to query this and was told that I (somehow) owned them R1504.26 and they subtracted this from the full amount. This WAS NEWS to me!!!
I resigned from Company X in 2008/03 (which was with Discovery Health) and joined Company Y in 2008/04 (which was with Resolution Health). Company Y then went onto Discovery Health in 2010/03. If there were any outstanding amounts on my account, why was I never informed? They could have simply phoned me in 2008 (just shows how eager they were back then to get "their" money). And now finally in 2013 Discovery Health "steals" 1504.26 from my claim and I need that money to paid bills. I question the lawfulness of this and demand my 1504.26 short payment.
This is very poor service from you Discovery and you are taking a fat chance. I can't wait to ditch you as a medical aid provider if you don't pay up. Daylight!!!
