OPTION CHANGE

I've been trying to do an option change since october late year but no success. each time I'm told to wait for 5 working days to get a response. how difficult is it for me to change options??? i've been told to wait 5 working days... and when i say that i want to cancel they tell me i will has to serve a months' notice... THE POINT OF ME DOWNGRADING IS BECAUSE I CANT AFFORD TO PAY WHAT I'M CURRENTLY PAYING!!!
