I am flabbergasted and disappointed at Discovery. I have been a member for a few years and I have been to the doctor a couple of times but I am always out of savings. Anyway last year I went for a gynae visit and everything was well until I got an invoice from the doctor to pay an amount of R 1600 which I paid and from lancet laboratories (which I didnt see a need to pay because before they took the tests that were satisfied with my balance). I dont understand how I owed that much. Later on I had to cancel my medical aid because of unforeseen circumstances and in the process I interacted with agents from the company, I was not informed of any amount that I had to pay at the time I ended my membership. A while later I recieved emails and smses to pay Discovery. What am I paying for? I hardly too any meds and went to the doctor once while I paid every single month! Now the "collection" company keeps annoying me with phone calls, pestering me about this debt! I am tired of being short changed, principle is important. I refuse to be taken for a ride!
