What a disappointing experience at Fir and Ice Protea Hotel last night at dinner!! NO service at the lounge area next to the bar. After 15 minutes, calling a waiter, we could order drinks. Later he completely forgot about a second drink, only to be delivered to our table after enquiring.
The service in the restaurant showed the same lack of commitment. Our waitress only took the orders for half of our table. After realising she was not coming back, a different waitress took the rest of our order once we called her over.
We waited exactly 55 minutes for our burgers to emerge from the kitchen, though burgers are their claim to fame. The food was VERY average. The table next to ours left during our dinner, but the table was not cleaned when we left 90 minutes later.
The floor manager walked over to ask how we were doing (surprise!), but even after bringing this POOR service to his attention, our table was cleaned 20 minutes after we finished with our food.
No wonder the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night.
NO commitment towards serving the customer. To me a general lack of management
NEVER again!!
