Beaverlac Camp Site
Beaverlac eviction - playing guita

We arrived at Beaverlac camping site on 02/01/14 with four adults and six teenagers and having visited this establishment on many occasions over the last five years felt that we were well acquainted with the rules. That evening while braaing, I started playing guitar like I have done on numerous occasions only to be approached by a gentleman who insisted in a highly aggressive manner that I stop playing immediately and referred to the rules which state that no music is allowed at all and that I was in breach of this ruling. I put the guitar away immediately however we made a poor attempt at some camp fire singing with the kids which did not last very long as we were still taken aback by the aggressive stance that the camp site appeared to have taken. The following morning the same gentleman informed us that we were officially evicted as we had carried on singing and thus disregarded the rules of the camp. We were given until 09h00 to be out of the camp site and we packed up and left without any further argument. The incident has left us all somewhat bemused and disappointed as we will obviously not be returning to what was my children and my favourite camp site.
